How do I search for an Entertainment service in my area?
The process begins by clicking on “New Search” link at the top right of any page. Once you’re on the “Homepage”, click on a State or Province. Follow the next 3 steps in order, and select a City, Service, and Event type. As soon as you make your selection in “Step 4”, the system will provide you with your results in a matter of seconds.
How come I did not see results after my selections?
The sit automatically processes your search criteria. Make sure you go through each of the steps mentioned above. If you continue to have a problem, contact us.
I clicked on a State/Province on the map and nothing happened?
Some people to not have FLASH enabled or have problems with FLASH navigations. We have provided a simple text version of the search and you can do the same exact search by simply selecting the State/Province from the list of states. You may want to check that you have the latest version of the browser software by going to that companies website (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, etc.). Most browser upgrades and downloads are free. By not having the latest version installed will most likely give you problems on other sites as well.
Do I have to be a member to see results?
No. Memberships are not required for our visitors. Only our entertainment vendors that would like to have their company information in our directory for you to see are required to sign up. All visitors are free to view the site without telling us who you are. Have fun!
My local city is not listed?
We try to provide a very extensive list of search results but we cannot reach every city across the US. All major cities and cities within 50 miles from the next largest city are listed in our database. If your city is not listed, select the nearest city to your local area.
The company I’m searching for is not listed?
We cannot control when your local videographer or photographer vendor does not sign up with us. We try to reach out to everyone via extensive markting campaigns but there are always those who get past our reach. If the company you are looking for is not in our database, they are one of just a few that have not taken the time to log on and sign up just yet. Why do some listings appear nicer than others in a search?
Every company has the option of what listing they will buy. Some vendors chose the free listings while others decide to pay extra money and get the nicer listings. We offer several levels to our advertisers and the higher levels tend to cost more money but provide the vendors with the maximum exposure.
I contacted a company and they have not replied yet, why?
MyPhotographerGuide.com is solely a directory and is we cannot take responsibility for the lack of action from our vendors. All we can tell you is to try again, maybe they did not receive your message, it happens!
What is the “Check Availability”* button that appears in some listings? This is a very simple form that you can use to figure out if a specific vendor is available for your event. This goes straight to the vendor and they will immediately see it and hopefully they will get in touch with you very soon. Your information is then immediately delivered directly (via e-mail) to that specific company only, privately! Depending on the company, expect a reply, from that company, within 24 hours.
Why do some listings have a Photo Gallery?
This is very important. Many of our upgraded listings have the ability to show photo galleries. When it comes to photographers and making sure you select the right photographers, we feel that the photo gallery is the key to the final selection. Take your time to browse these photo galleries in hopes to have the perfect photographer at your event.
